Meet Eva, the driving force behind Chapter with a passion for exclusive real estate
Dries François, who started his real estate company from scratch in 2010, entrusted the management of Chapter to Eva Laleman, who he also calls his partner outside of work. She talks enthusiastically about her role at Chapter and her personal connection with 'Le Coq-sur-Mer'.
Extensive skill set
With Eva, Chapter gained an exceptional hostess. A quiet driving force who keeps a firm grip on the reins. After obtaining a master's degree in communication sciences, she started her career in a marketing agency, after which she went on to work as an account manager. Experience that comes in handy today in her role as manager and confidante at Chapter, where she combines her commercial flair with strategic insight.
As a real estate agent, Eva has an extensive network and in-depth knowledge of the region. She knows the market inside out and has a perfect sense of what is going on with both buyers and sellers. This local anchoring is an important added value in her approach, in which she takes the time to listen to her clients, because for her, selling a home is an intense collaboration between Chapter and the client.
Personal approach
Chapter was founded out of necessity, because exclusive real estate requires a unique approach, she explains. "We really take the time to listen to our clients. Today, everything has to be done quickly and yield as much as possible, but that's not how we like to work. We make a difference with customization and quality in every facet of our service. Something our clients greatly appreciate. We build a personal relationship with many of our clients. An approach that pays off, even in the long term."
Gut feeling
What characterizes a 'Chapter property'? Eva: "We are quite selective when it comes to our offerings. We don't just add any property to our portfolio. For us, exclusivity is not about price or status, but about the feeling you get when you walk into a property. So our properties don't necessarily have to be perfectly finished high-end villas. They can just as easily be renovation projects with a unique location or architectural style. Or an authentic Belle Époque house or a state-of-the-art apartment. We often select our properties based on gut feeling and look for gems that you don't come across every day. For us, that is more decisive than the price tag of the property."
